London, UK: Tacit Knowledge sponsored E-Commerce Congress, a Savant Events Conference, the premier e-commerce conference in the UK focussing on innovative eCommerce and omnichannel strategies for advanced online retailers.
During 2 days the leading 150 senior decision makers from the top 100 online retailers in the UK and internationally shared their ideas and strategies of how to move towards customer centric retailing.
As per the video, the conference was widely acclaimed by the E-Commerce leaders in attendance (John Lewis, Levi, Mothercare, Google, Selfridges, M and M Direct, B&Q, Kurt Geiger, Merck to name a few) as being relevant and insightful. Unlike many conferences, it was not a case of sponsors gratuitously pitching their wares but, instead, industry leaders sharing their experiences and insight in the form of case studies, panel discussions and round tables. ghd and Office Depot’s cases studies were particularly well received, but we are biased!
ghd’s Ecommerce Director, Rob Pye, presented a case study along with Tacit’s Director of Delivery Services, Ed Perchick. They discussed how ghd use data to drive conversions and user experience and how Tacit use continuous delivery (on the Hybris platform) to ensure that technology is not an inhibitor to business agility. Office Depot’s Abdul Khan made a point of emphasising Tacit’s critical role in enabling Office Depot to revolutionise their B2B business and move towards a digital transformation, using Hybris as platform.
The decision of whether or not to go headless has disrupted the digital landscape and divided departments. De-coupling the front-end "presentation layer(s)" from back end processes can lead to far richer customer experience. Find out more on 8th October 2019...
